Toddler Music Class
Toddler Music Classes will return in Sept 2025. Registration OPEN, link below.
These Early Years programmes are for Babies, Toddlers and young children 18 months to 4 years. The classes take place on Wednesday mornings at Navan Music Hub.
Music Generation Meath developed a very popular series of online Early Years programmes during the pandemic. Since then, Early Years programmes have taken place in Ashbourne Library and Cruinniú na nÓg festivals and are now a firm favourite every week at Navan Hub. They are fun music classes for little ones, who get to join in singing, musical games and stories.


Navan Choir

Navan Choir was formed in September 2021 and has continued to grow in recent years. This choir is aimed at children from 2nd class and upwards.
We welcome back previous members and would love to see some new members joining.

Ashbourne Choir
Registration is OPEN for Sept 2025. Link below.
Choir takes place weekly on Mondays in Ashbourne Library.
Choir start time will be 4.30pm with staggered times tbc for different age groups
Children’s choir is open to all. Young singers is open to all second level students and singers 11+, based on ability.
Junior Jammers – Navan
Registration is OPEN for September 2025. Link below
We are delighted to bring our Junior Jammers Music programme to Navan Hub. It will be led by Music Generation Meath musician Caithriona who has a wealth of experience working with younger children. This is a fun music class for younger children and will include singing, musical games, introduction to instruments with a focus on developing aural and oral skills including pitch and rhythm.

Ratoath Music Hub

Limited availability ONLY in Tin-whistle, Bodhrán and Banjo classes.
Classes take place on Wednesday afternoons in Ratoath Music Hub which is located at Ratoath College.These are small group classes and instruments are available to rent to Hub students.


Navan Music Hub
All classes are fully subscribed for 2025/2026. You can email us at [email protected] directly with any queries.
Navan Music Hub is located at LMETB offices, Abbey Rd., Navan. Guitar, Singing, Violin, Keyboard and Drum classes take place after school on Mondays as well as Harp and Guitar classes after school on Wednesdays.
Trim Hub
Registration OPEN for 2025/2026. ONLY LIMITED places available in Drums, Singing and Junior Jammers.
We were delighted to announce our Trim Hub opening in September 2024. It is located in FET centre, Trim and is delivered in partnership with Trim Family Resource Centre.
These small group lessons in a variety of instruments take place on Thursday afternoons. Classes in Guitar, Junior Jammers, Keyboard, Drums, Singing.


Traditional Music Ensemble

It was planned to continue with monthly rehearsals for the Traditional Music Ensemble, but due to low subscriptions, we have put this plan on hold for the moment. We will look at doing a more concentrated project to give these young people an opportunity to play together. You can register your interest through the registration link above.

Meath Library Instrument Rental Scheme
We run a library instrument rental scheme in partnership with Meath County Libraries which was launched on 1st September 2021. We have over 75 instruments available to rent for lengths of 6 months at a time. Please click here to see the instrument options.
The instruments are located at Ashbourne Library. You must be a member of a Meath library in order to take part in this scheme.

Music Technology
We have developed a Music Production and Music Technology Studio in our Abbey Road campus and we continue to offer exciting creative and collaborative music making programmes from our Studio.
We were delighted to introduce a Music Technology Course for 20 weeks 2023/2024, which is now finished. Watch here for updates for September 2024.
It’s open to children and young people from 11-17 years. Students will have access to the studio and learn about Music Production and Sound Engineering working on state of the art iMacs and with state of the art recording equipment. They will delve into the use of Logic (Digital Audio Workstation) and learn how to record and input tracks and effects and be guided by our experienced professional musician educators.


Julianstown Youth Orchestra
Julianstown Youth Orchestra, a partner organisation, which is located at Colaiste na hInse, Bettystown, Co. Meath, is inviting new members to join their orchestra. If you are aged 8-18 years, play an instrumental instrument and would like to join a fun youth orchestra, email [email protected] to book your audition slot.
Youthreach
We run instrument learning and music making programmes within a number of Youthreach locations in the county. We are happy to work with other Youthreach centres in Meath to enrich their musical offerings.

School Programmes
Music Generation Meath believes firmly in all children being able to access performance music education. We offer a 28 week music enrichment programme in various instruments. We currently offer courses in Violin, Ukulele, Early Years music and Vocal. The aim of this programme is to compliment, but not replace, the national school music curriculum through active music making in the classroom. The Musician Educators will help to enrich the musicianship of the school. This programme can also be delivered digitally by our expert Musician Educators.

Abbey Road Sounds
We run a Creative Band Programme, which began in January 2022, for post-primary school students at Abbey Road Studio on Saturday mornings 10am to 12.30pm during term-time. Registration is now closed and will re-open during the summer for Sept 2025
It’s open to solo musicians, bands, or to anyone who is interested in music/music tech. You have access to our fully equipped tech studio and musical instruments and be guided by our experienced professional musician educators.
